Ibrahim Afellay (born 2 April 1986) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or winger for Stoke City and the Dutch national team.

He played youth football at Elinkwijk before joining the PSV Eindhoven youth academy at age 10. After debuting in 2004, he represented PSV for eight seasons, helping them to four Eredivisie titles before moving to Barcelona for €3 million in January 2011. Rarely used by Barcelona and marred by injury, he was loaned to Schalke 04 and Olympiacos before signing for Stoke City in 2015.
Making his Netherlands national team debut in 2007, Afellay appeared at the 2010 World Cup, contributing to the Dutch side finishing in second place in the tournament. He was also present at Euro 2008 and Euro 2012, making over 50 appearances in total.
When he started to excel in Ajax I call him the Netherlands selection, he was expecting the call of the Moroccan selection but he was not called. In the end he got tired of waiting and decided to go with Holland. A great palyer that morocco was have in his team.

This year saw how the Moroccan national team was to be one of the candidates for the African Cup. This year the African Cup was played in the country of Gabon.
The Moroccans played a group which included the selection of Côte d'Ivoire, Togo and the selection of the Congo.
Morocco was classified as the first group to finish the last 3 games of the group with a very good game and result.
But they reached the quarterfinals against Egypt a selection that was not a favorite to win but had two great players very good.
The game was very hard for egypt that did not stop denfender as the attacks of Morocco, but football is a game that sometimes wins the one with the luckiest, in the 86th minute a cornen that was dead in the small area the striker Egypt Kharaba turned into goal.
For me a great performance of Morocco I only think it lacked success in attack. The current selection of Morocco has as most of the other selections players that are part of professional football at European level.
